Critically, it will provide independent living spaces and crucial safe housing for single women and families fleeing domestic violence and unsafe environments. In addition, these families will have opportunities to learn to grow and cook farm fresh food. A real, holistic seed-to-stomach approach to resilience building. We will also implement vital veteran and Emergency Services Organisation (ESO) support, including equine rehabilitation and specific training programs.

Furthermore, the Hub will facilitate pioneering rural-specific mental health research, provide comprehensive training, and operate a 24-hour local, contactable emergency service. To bring this life-saving vision to fruition, we are seeking an initial funding round of approximately $5 million AUD.

This critical investment will allow us to purchase, safeguard, and make suitable a suitable space. Funding will cover the property acquisition, initial infrastructure setup, and three years of essential staff and operational costs.

The ideal property is large enough to immediately begin services, with existing infrastructure, in a safe location with good access, and potential for future expansion.

Our ultimate goal is to become the go-to provider of mental health services in the Warren Blackwood region. This includes offering housing for domestic violence sufferers and their children, vital support for DVA and ESO personnel, and a nurturing space for teens and youth currently falling through the system.
